TEHRAN -- A memgber of the National Security and Foreing Policy Commission of Majlis Hajbabei warned that the administrative division of the country into Ten States will create extensive tension and tribal unrest in the country.

The proposal of the administrative division of the country needs reassessment, he said.

The present proposal is very crude, it will create some problems for teh country if implemented, he said.

Referring to the election law, he said, another proposal will be presented to the Parliament according to which elections will be provincial.

If this happends, he said, the efficiency of the MPs will be increased.

However, the new plan will reduce the contact of the MPs with the people, he said adding that this is among the negative aspects of hte new proposal.

Touching on the law of the local Councils, he said, according to a new proposal, the number of the members of teh local councils inthe cities where teh populationis more 200,000 will be thirty permanent and 10 ex-officio members.
